WHO WE ARE
We are an alliance, HOPin Academy and FANT Denmark promoting sports as a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation among young individuals in Northern Ghana. This will help them sustain their own future which will contribute to poverty alleviation and economic growth. The core significance of this intervention is to strengthen the network of young entrepreneurs for them to help each other and form a network that will not only benefit the 300 starting members but all future entrepreneurs in Northern Ghana.
Sports have been on the rise recently in Northern Ghana since the establishment of one of the nation’s most reputable sports edifice (Tamale Sports Stadium), which has become a good prospect for the local youth as they now harbor dreams and aspirations of creating a better future for themselves through sports.
The situation in Ghana is quite dire, to the extent that in recent times there has been a proclaimed ‘Association of Unemployed Graduates’. SEED will mentor Many individuals who have been trained at the tertiary level through the formal education sector and are currently facing unemployment to make relevant policy change.
The intervention will contribute to citizen participation by organizing workshops to build the capacity of young people to foster the change that they want to see. It encourages the new generation to take an active part in the development of their communities and country.
